For websites and event guides
Chris Kiefer is the founder of paintOS. He came out of the marketing director seat at a $10M painting company, where the job was spending a $1M marketing budget and he could not trust a single number he was looking at. Nothing was connected to anything.
So he spent three years wiring the CRM to the estimating software to accounting to job costing, in pursuit of better data for his own marketing. The company went from $10M to $21M in that stretch. He trained as an engineer, which is where he learned to pull a messy process apart and rebuild it so anyone can run it.
Marketing directors at other painting companies started asking him to set the same thing up for them, and that became paintOS, which now runs the data foundation and the automations for 24 painting companies. He hosts The Pursuit of Purpose, a podcast about building a business with meaning, with more than 210 episodes.
Introduction script
About 45 seconds read aloud. Numbers are spelled out so they read cleanly from the stage.
A few months into his job as marketing director of a ten million dollar painting company, our next speaker realized he could not trust a single number on his screen. The CRM said one thing, production said another, and the books said a third. So he went back to his engineering training and spent three years wiring every one of those systems together. That company grew to twenty one million. Today he runs paintOS, which does the same work for twenty four painting companies, and he hosts The Pursuit of Purpose podcast. He is here to tell you what AI can actually do with the data you already have. Please welcome Chris Kiefer.
